i would like to note that i do not "kin for fun" but i am also not among the groups who fervently despise those who do (kinning is a different experience for everyone and it is up to each individual to determine what language they want to use to describe their relation to a character).

personally, when i say i kin a character, i do not mean i relate to the character or like the character.
i mean i literally see myself as that character and feel deeply connected to them (involuntarily. which is not necessarily a bad thing but that is a completely different conversation).

there is a lot of discourse in the kinning community over which words are right for certain experiences and which ones are not, so it feels important that people on this page have the added context of my personal thoughts. that is all, thank you if you have read this far [:
